Adams County Community Corrections was established in January of 2008. The program was created by a grant from the Indiana Department of Corrections (IDOC) The purpose of the program is to provide an alternative sentencing option to county jail or prison for non-violent offenders. Community Corrections Staff monitor these offenders through electronic monitoring, office visits and field visits. The program is funded through the IDOC grant and fees accessed to the offenders. Adams County Community Corrections also oversees the alternative to out of school suspension program, RISQ, and juvenile community service for Adams County.
